HOW TO GET TO BIBO’S PLACE

By car
From north – Take the A1 highway and exit at Valdichiana.  Follow the Bettole – Perugia road ( which runs beside Lake Trasimeno), then at Perugia take the E45 towards Terni.  Exit at Todi – Orvieto.  Alternatively, exit the A1 at Orvieto and follow the SS-448 to Todi.  This road has beautiful views of the Forello Gorge.
From south – Exit the A1 at Orte and take the E45 towards Terni – Perugia – Cesena, exiting at Todi – Orvieto.

From the Adriatic coast

From south – exit the A14 at Pescara, follow the A25 towards Aquila, then take the E80 towards Rieti – Terni.  Take the E45 towards Cesena and exit at Todi – Orvieto.  Alternatively, you can exit at Civitanove Marche and take the SS-77 towards Foligno – Todi.

From north – Exit the A14 at Cesena.  Take the E45 towards Perugia – Todi or exit at Fano and follow the Flaminia towards Gubbio – Todi.

 

By train
The station at Todi – Ponterio links Todi to Terni and Perugia which are both mainline stations.
Once at Todi – Ponterio station, the Linea C bus will take you to Piazza Jacopone in the centre of Todi.  This journey takes approximately 10 minutes.
Bibo’s Place is less than 200 metres from the bus-stop.  Via Mazzini will lead you to Piazza del Duomo.  Piazza Garibaldi is on your right.

 

Parking
There is very limited parking in the centre of Todi but the car-park at Porta Orvietana has an elevator that will take you to the historical centre of Todi.
Follow the road uphill from the elevator ( Via Augusto Ciufelli, and then Via Mazzini), and you will arrive in Piazza del Duomo.  Piazza Garibaldi is on your right.
To reach the car-park from the Todi- Orvieto exit of the E45, follow signs for the town centre.  After passing through the small town of Ponte Rio,  pass over  the small bridge over the Rio creek and turn right immediately after the pink house.  At the top of the hill, follow signs to the Porta Orvietana car-park.
